MS Publisher says no printer installed after reinstalling printer

I lost connection yesterday after a lightening strike fried my surge
protector. I reinstalled and can print from my other MS office programs but
not Publisher. I reinstalled/repaired Office and it still does not work. Any
help?

There could be damage to the printer. You are quite
fortunate that your computer was not destroyed.

A surge protector will not protect a computer from
damage by lightning. A UPS provides somewhat better
protection but the only way to fully insure safety from
lightning strikes is to unplug the computer and disconnect
from the modem.
