MS Word 2007 is driving me crazy

I have had many difficulties with Word 2007 since I have installed it.
Today's issue is that it keeps crashing. I have 2 files open and I am
working between them and it has crashed 15 times (no exaggeration). I have
run it as the only application open and with 2 other applications open and I
have the same issue. I have run the diagnostics and it tells me there is
nothing wrong. I have McAfee antivirus and run Windows Vista.

Empty your temp folder. It will almost certainly be full of abandoned temp
files. When all applications are closed, the temp folder should be empty -
make it so.

Check that you have the latest printer driver available and then delete and
reinstall the printer. Make sure that Word can see your locally installed
printer driver and that it is set as the Windows default.

If you still have problems, please come back for some further diagnostics
advice.

Hi Terry,

I am also having problems with Word crashing. It will open, allow documents
to edited and saved, but it will crash if I try to print, change the view, or
close the application. Can you tell me where the temp folder you are
referring to is located? Also, where do I check to see if I have the updated
printer driver?

Thanks!

From your description, a corrupt or incompatible printer driver sound a far
more likely diagnosis. Make sure that you have the latest driver for your
printer/OS, then delete and reinstall the printer.

Obviously, the temp folder will still be clogged with abandoned temp files
though, so please go ahead and delete all the contents. If you are using
Vista, the temp folder is in

C:\Users\Username\App Data\Local\Temp
