I am having trouble after installing MS Office on a new Acer Laptop. OS is
XP Professional. I installed Office XP 2002. Installation was effortless
however, all programs work fine except Word. After opening Word, after a
few minutes, an error window comes up and has the option send report or dont
send report. Either one closes the program. The file it says is
winword.exe. I uninstalled Office XP and installed Office 2003, and I have
the same issue. Word closes. All windows updates are installed. Antivirus
software is updated and scanned.
I also see the same type of error message for the Macromedia Projector when
I run a certain program. (This might be another issue all together?)
Someone mentioned that possibly the drivers were not loaded properly (in the
correct order and the only fix is format and reinstall everything). Any
comments on this?
