MS Word will not open.

Word 2000 will not open, I click on word and the hour
glass just set there and runs forever.

I was getting these messages:

Windows system is dangerously low in resources.

MSW 9.0 not enought memory or disk space run word.

I have check memory and it appears I have more than enough
memory. This happen before when I was in email working to
change a word file I had open and then closed. I have
uninstalled word and reinstall numerous times, this does
not help. Excell and Powerpoint open with ease.

Appreciate any advise.
