Multi level Organisation Chart

Hi

I have an Access database that contains fields for Postion, reports to and
processes done. I can export this to an Excel spreadsheet.

However, what I would like to do is:
Show the primary structure:
CEO
Managers
Workers

But also a sub category of processes which sits under the managers and or
workers.

Is there a way of having a multi level of "reports to" (running off three
columns - not 2)?

Any help greatly appreciated

Kind regards

rexmann

PS using Visio 2007

An org chart can have many layers, but is that really what you are talking
about? The detail displayed is to the individual. Do you wish to display a
more abstract layer at the bottom of the tree? For example; Accounts Rec,
Accounts Pending, but not identifying the individuals at that level?

Hi

What I have is a list of jobs/positions and a list of processes (actual
tasks they are responsible for such as logging customer complaints).

Visio organisation chart appears to allow you to have the positon and who
they report to. Is it possible to have a third column.

so

the org chart would have the normal hierarchy but also under each person
there would be what they are responisible for.

The problem is the processes may belong to more than one person.

Not sure if that makes sense or is possible

Kind regards

Sounds like you may want to consider custom properties (Shape Data). You can
add extra columns to the data and the wizard will add these to the shape as
custom properties. The wizard will ask which should be displayed and then
ask which should be just added as custom properties.

There are no checks, so the same process can be added to several individuals
(It is just a string of characters). If an individual can have more than one
process, you may have to add a column for each. (Process1, Process2, ...)

You can also create a report to summarize the orgchart.
