Multiple selections in Word 2003

I could not find any topic relating to multiple (discontiguous) selections
in the Word 2003 help. Is there some? Under which heading? If not, could
you please direct me to a How To Web page?

Hi Robert

to select multiple areas of your document, select the first one, hold your
control key down and select the second, keeping the control key down select
the third etc ...

Julie has given you the answer, but I think you didn't try very hard. If I
type "multiple selection" into the "Type a question for help" box, the
second hit is "Select text and graphics," and the first subsection of that
Help topic is:

Select items that aren't next to each other
1. Select the first item you want, such as a table cell or paragraph.
2. Hold down CTRL.
3. Select any additional items you want while continuing to hold CTRL.
Note You can only select multiple objects of the same type, such as two or
more text selections or two or more floating graphics, that aren't next to
each other.
