My Documents folder (Office 2002 and Office 2003)

Situation: Default location for the My Documents folder is redirected to a
network drive for backup purposes. A group policy has been applied to not
allow any files to be written or downloaded into the My Music and My Pictures
subfolders.
Issue: Word imports online clip art into the My Documents\My
Pictures\Microsoft Clip Organizer (automatically created at first import), so
I get an error when I try to save clip art: "Clip Organizer cannot complete
the operation. Unspecified error. Error Code 0x80004005."
I modified the file location setting for Clip Art from within Word to the
local drive (Tools=> Options => File Locations). I also tried changing the
default location for music files from within Media Player. I made registry
settings under
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellFolders as
recommended in KB articles 221837 and 310746.
If I go to the My Documents properties and change the target to the local
drive by clicking "Restore Default" the problem is fixed. However, that is
not the solution as our users' documents have to stay on the network drive.
Any other ideas I can try? Thanks!
