What happens when you try? I assume you're getting some sort of an error
message. What does it say - exactly, please.

D

DragonBoo

It just says the key is incorrect. Like I said, I even used a magenfying
glass to make sure I got every letter and number right, the response was
always "incorrect key". Am I stupid or is the software? lol!

I uninstalled the Office 2003 that came with my computer, I re-downloaded the
program from your site, the product key it gave me is ALSO "invalid". And I
copy and pasted that one just to make sure. I give up. I'm not buying a
product I can't use, I'm not even going to try it out, I'm removing
it...permenently.
Thank you,

I'm reasnswering your post, I removed the old program and redownloaded the
trial from the web site, I still got a "Ivalid key" message. I'm just not
going to mess with it anymore, it's too much trouble and I won't buy or try
something I can't use. But thank you for your help JoAnn. :)

I don't like the trial versions but not for the reason you list.

Where did you find the product key that you are using?

You can't just uninstall one trial version that came with your system
and then reinstalling another trial version by downloading from the MS
website. You get limited usage of ONE trial version and then you will
need to buy a fully licensed product afte the trial period.

The alternative is to clear all remnants of Office product from the
registry but there are dangers if you delete the wrong keys.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

The one on the back of your computer is for Windows, not Office. It will
positively, never work.

The product key might be on a sticker on your Works CD. I've heard from
others that that was where their trial key was located.

It's ok, I just uninstalled the program, NOT the registry keys. Like I've
said in several messages, I'm just leaving it alone and not going to bother
with it. It wasn't something I really needed to have, I just wanted to try it
out, but it's ok if I can't. And since I never got the trial version that
came with the PC to work, there was no usage.

Joanne, my name is Zack and I am just entering this conversation midstream.
I do have a product key and the disk for Office 2003 Student teacher edition.
My computer died and I rebooted it all and I was trying to reinstall Office
but it will not let me. I know there are 3 EULA available and I have it
loaded on two other computers in my house. Since I had to reboot does that
mean that my computer is treated as a new computer. What should I do? I
would appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks

Define "will not let me". Once again - we need exact error messages. The
wording is important to be able to give you more accurate responses.

BTW - It's not nice to hijack a thread. Your issue is not the same as the
other poster is having. The proper thing to do would be to start a new
thread *after* you've checked the archives to see if it's been asked and
answered before.

Hi my product key does not work either, it's from a CD Office 2007

or 6 are not part of a key product. I have already uninstalled all trial
versions. Thanks

I have no clue what you mean by "three series of numbers". Are you looking
at a number that says xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx?

Another Brian

Usually on the back of the Office 2007 CD case or sleeve there is a
sticker, usually orange. It should have the words "Product Key" on it
with a long string of numbers and character like
"GGG4S-R55MM-23G45-BB9BB-2PPP2P" (this example string is totally made
up on the fly). This is the product key that you must use. The product
key never is all numbers and I don't think that it ever contains "1"
or "0".

On the bottom of my laptop there is also a Microsoft sticker that does
have three series of numbers on it. This sticker is only for your
version of Windows (Windows XP Home in my case). It does have three
sets of numbers on it, but none of them will work for Office.
