Neck bars for non-work days?

Is there a way to neck the duration bars to show non-work days?

I have 2 crews working the same task. They are working 4-on 4-off schedules.
I want to show the days they work and don't work and how they interact with
each other.

COZWV,
What do you mean by "neck"? Normally the standard Gantt bars show the
same for working and non-working days but the project level non-working
part of the bar can be hidden behind non-working day with
Format/Timescale.

Thanks, Yes I know I can hide the bars behind the normal non-work days
but.........

I currently have 4 crews working on 4 different calendars. We are working 7
days a week with 2 crews. One crew works 4 days and then the other crew works
the next 4 days. and so on.......so their days off are different every week.

For example:

Crew1 works: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Crew2 works: Friday,Saturday, Sunday, Monday
Crew1 comes back and works: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Crew2 comes back and works: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

and so on............

The other crews work M-F (50 hours) and M-T (40 hours)

P3 allows you to change the bars to show a neck (narrow) portion in the bar
for non-work days based on the calendar assigned to that task. I hope there
is a way for Projects to do this.

THANKS,

COZWV,
It might be possible to set up some customized bar styles and tie them
to spare start and finish fields but I tend to think it will be more
trouble than it's worth.

Project doesn't have the flexibility that P3 has, but then, Project
costs a whole lot less also. If P3 does what you need, why not just use
it?

Thanks John, I would like to use P3 but our company doesn't have but a few
people who know anything at all about P3. It is going to be a feat to get
them up to speed on MS Projects. Oh well, I'll work through it.

Thanks again,

COZWV,
You're welcome.
