Need Help

Hey i just bought software for microsoft office a week ago but the
product key i entered is invalid according to microsoft office. so i
was wondering if anyone could help me getting a valid one because when
i spoke to the people at customer service they told me that i would
have to go buy new software because the software i bought was most
likely stolen and therefore the product key was discontinued. What i
don't understand is i bought it at a legitimate store, staples, and my
product key is invalid and the only solution is to pay another hundred
bucks to get a new one. so anyway can anyone help me get a valid key?

If the product doesn't work as intended from a Staples purchase?
It's best to return the product as a defect for either a refund or
replacement.

I agree with Don that returning the software to Staples would be a logical
