need urgent help with recovery of email

Hello,

can anyone please give advice on how to recover email from
Outlook Express? i was downloading some software, which
seemed to completely default my Outlook Express. on doing
so, my profile (i only had one profile) is now gone in
Outlook Express, including all my emails. can someone
please give me any hints on how to get my old emails back?

I'm having a hard time understanding how downloading software (via a
browser) affected your Outlook, unless of courase the downloaded
software when executed introduced a virus or spy-bots to your program.

I think your first step is to check for virues and work the "why this
happen?" question.

If you profile is gone, probably your email is also since whatever
program did this, it simply deleted things.

Go to your backup and restore these mails.

You need to load _soft_ware for that? Seems like Mike would want
_hard_ware for that.
