New emails appearing in lower right of outlook as a shaddow

Hi,

I have outlook 2003. Whenever somone sends me an e-mail, a summary of the
note appears in the lower right part of outlook. It gives the sender's name
and the title of the e-mail and appears as a shaddow or in gray. Someone
else also had Outlook 2003 and this does not work for them. Is there a way
to turn this feature on?
