new menu

I need a new menu to open in a toolbar when a file opened from floppy disk.

I have creared a new menu and assigned a number of macros to it but when the
file is opened the menu does not display until I go to customise and select
the file location from the commands tab - drop down list ... save in.

But it does open on one pc? Is there an option that needs to be set somewhere?

That one pc has had Normal.dot customized to show the template. The
changes should have been saved in the document / template instead. On
that one pc, rename Normal.dot and reset explictly using Tools >
Customize.
