Does it not appear on the Start->Programs menu at the top? If yes, then
just drag and drop to the top of the start menu.

Hmm, when you scroll to the very top of the Programs menu, is it not there
at the very top? what happens if you use detect and repair and have Office
reinstall all shortcuts?

Hi Red,

The New Office Document and Open Office Document shortcuts
aren't installed by default in Office 2003. You can add them
by changing the installed features from the Microsoft Office
choice in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control panel
