Thanks for the info.
Funny thing is, when I create a "new" page on my system, it works fine.
Problem is creating "new" page working live off my web hoster.
I was disconnected while working "live" so I'm wondering if it's more on
their end instead of mine?
I sent tech support the same question as I started here.

Also due to the broken connection you may have corrupt META files
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
Usually in your IE Temp folder, C:\WINDOWS\Temp, and
C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Local Settings\Temp
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Usually in C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache

Sorry about not posting this info earlier.
I just found it by "testing" my local web site.

Not sure if the KB information pertains as I can get FP to load and work
fine EXCEPT when I try to save a new page(live). That's when I get the error
msg and then a follow-up msg that "FP has caused an invalid page fault in
module ms09.dll".

I can make "live" corrections to existing pages, etc. just not save new
ones.

Still waiting on tech support. They're not sure what is happening or at
least on what end the problem is coming from. Will talk with their FP
"expert" this AM.

Haven't done anything with Office, that I know of. :)
The only thing I've done was tried to insert (instead of copy/paste) a word
doc into an older page and the system had me load something that allowed me
to do it. It took OK and saved changes to the already created page.
Running MSOffice 2k and FP2k, that's it.
Are you suggesting I run detect and repair under O?
I ran it under FP with no help.

Here's the complete error msg.(s)
When I click "save as" (only when I'm working live, not on my system) the
save as box opens but also the;
********************
load failed
cannot load "\fp5autl.dll"
********************
Click OK and FP closes down.

3-4 seconds later this msg pops up.

FRONTPG caused an invalid page fault in
module MSO9.DLL at 017f:30928d83.

Yes I was suggesting you run a repair on MSO from Control Panel
- that file is common to all MSP apps and one of the other ones may have somehow corrupted it

But now that you provide full details on the error it looks like FP (fp5autl.dll) triggering the error in MSO9.DLL

Thanks for the info.
Will run repair and see what happens.
The "funny" thing is that it only happens when I'm working on my web site
live and not off my systems copy of web AND when I try and save a new
page(again live) and not save corrections to already created pages (live or
on my system).

Now another problem.
I've updated all updates off MSO for Office.
Went to CP, add/remove and brought up MSO SR-1 Pro, clicked on Repair
Office, settings to Repair errors in---, clicked Restore my shortcuts, then
click finished,
nothing happens. Did a Ctrl,Alt,Delete and found that repair is not
working/responding.

Suggestions,

L.

"When you receive the information from you host, let us know."

Tom,

Tech support isn't sure what is happening either.
They reset server and file extensions.
Next question-- should I uninstall FP2k and reinstall?
I've tried repair, updated all updates through MSO site.
Can I delete/rename and reload just the fp5autl.dll file?

Any more suggestions please,

L.

L

L/P

Couldn't run repair under CP but could and did run under FP and Word.
Now I'm receiving this error msg after FP closes down from original error
msg(Load Failed)...

Instead of "invalid page fault at fp5autl.dll" it now reads:

FRONTPG caused an invalid page fault in
module MFC42.DLL at 017f:5f401351.

For any of you still looking at all this.

I ran a "test" on my other system and everything works fine(save new page,
etc.) SO it's a problem on my end on this system.
How to fix, no idea!!!
