New Task Requests not routing to the Project "Owner"

MSPS 2003

I have resources who are leveraging the assign myself to an existing task
function within PWA.

This is generating New Assignment Requests as it should; however the
requests are being routed to the Admin account and not the PM that took
"Ownership" of the tasks within their plan.

What am I missing?

thx in advance!

If memory serves me correctly, I believe is a known bug in Project Server
2003. I believe that the New Assignment Requests are incorrectly sent to
the original person who published the project (the Admin account in your
case), rather than to the new project manager. I have searched the KB
articles to see if this bug is fixed in any service pack or hotfix, but
currently don't find anything listed. You may wish to search the Project
Server 2003 KB yourself to see if I am not using the right search terms or
missing something that should be obvious. Beyond this, I'm not certain of
any way to work around the problem. Perhaps someone else has an idea for
you. Sorry I could not be of more help.

When new managers take over assignments, only the assingments are rerouted.
The problem is that the Project Owner gets new taks requests. I can't
remember if you can solve this by saving as an mpp and then reimporting the
project after it has been deleted but you can certainly change the value
directly in the database as a workaround.
