[newbie] Task list

I am currently considering a simple way to assign workflow tasks. Is it
possible through Office tools to access MS Outlook 2003 to do the following:

1. Create fields relevant to a task (i.e. task summary, details, due date,
priority, status etc) within a web interface or to send them via email.
2. Assign them to a shared task list within MS Outlook. I think this can be
done through shared tasks, however I'm not sure whether this is available to
MS Outlook 2003.
