no one can open my works 6.0 documents?

I have a new pc useing XP an MS works 6.0 I have my cv on the word document
(MS works processor) but when I attach it to any e-mails no one can open it
and tell me to resend I end up having to copy and paste it to the e-mail.
(not very professional!?) can anyone help please?

If you want to appear professional, turn the document into a PDF.

Because they don't have Works installed.

Because they don't have Works. Try saving it as RTF.
