Eh? What do you mean "there's no point in asking anything on this news
group"?

In Peter's defense, except for the spell check item, this group is pretty
bad at answering questions. Very rarely are they answered (just look at the
list now...three answers out of 545 messages).

I have to disagree. I have asked many questions of this newsgroup (and
others) and never failed to receive a reply. I also try to reply to any
question that I feel I can help with. I have learned that the people who
reply are volunteers - they do it as time permits.

In addition, sometimes I hesitate to reply to a question because the
question itself is vague or incomplete and I don't want to give out
incorret information.

Ummm...where are you getting those numbers? There are a lot more questions
answered out of 545 than 3! I see you're using Outlook Express to view this
newsgroup...are you sure you have it set to thread messages by conversation?
Not only have I already answered a couple of dozen messages already this
evening, but several of Peter's as well...and typically I follow the same
pattern just about every evening.

You must understand that this is a peer-to-peer group and that all of us who
answer questions here are volunteers. Nobody is paid to answer questions
here -- we do it in our spare time. And believe me, I spend quite a bit of
my spare time in here (probably much more than I should), as do my fellow
MVPs and quite a number of other kind souls as well. Yes, a lot of
questions do go unanswered...there are just not enough hours in the day to
answer them all, nor enough volunteers willing to spend the time. Add to
that mix the questions that are asked in such a way that they can't be
understood, questions asked about products other than Outlook, and questions
we just don't know the answers to, and sure, there will be a lot of
unanswered questions. If you know the answers, please feel free to answer
all the ones we missed.
