I am using Outlook 2003 with Word 2003 as my email editor. Often in
spellcheck, I will manually correct a word incorrectly. (for instance, I will
go into the spell check box and replace "amlost" with "allmost". Spell check
at this point should put up a dialog box saying that "You have chosen a
word that is not in the main or custom dictionary" etc. But on several
occasions, that dialog box does not appear. Instead the message text will
accept my misspelled word. I have checked the custom dictionaries often on
this and they do not contain the misspelled word. My other guess is that
somehow the main dictionary, which I have no access to contains the
misspelling. Is there any other reason this might happen. How can I prevent
this?
thanks
