I can't seem to find anything about this. I am moving to
a new computer with XP and Office 2003 from my old
computer that had W 98 and an old version of Office. My
files are on a cd-rom. First, when I try to download all
the files from the cd to my new computer (c-hard drive) I
can't. I can only seem to do it one by one. Then the
files on the cd say they are read-only and when I try to
open them on the new computer, they come up in code
instead of text.
Can anybody help me with this? I'm pretty limited in my
general computer knowledge, so forgive if this is
something obvious that everyone knows and that's why I
can't find anything in any of the Help sections about it.
