Normal.dot

Hello all,

It has come to my attention that autotext features are stored in Templates,
which is fine. But as my users cannot edit normal.dot as it used by all users
throughout the domain they have save any settings changes into a seperate
..dot template.

What I would really like is to configure there Words to all open up in a
template that my admin people can all share and add to, there are only 3 of
them so they generally swap and share pc's depending on what they are doing
so to for them to be all be able to use the features saved in the template
would be usefull for them.

So any ideas?

Well, first of all, Normal.dot should never be shared (see “You cannot share
the Normal.dot file among multiple users in Word†at
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=811468), but you could put the AutoText
entries in a global template stored in the Startup folder (or in the
Workgroups template with a shortcut to it in the Startup folder).
