Nothing in Autotext list

After View | Headers & Footers, when I go to the Autotext
box and click the drop down arrow, the list is empty.
Shouldn't there be a list of things such as "Page x of y"
and other similar items? (I'm using Word 2002.)

Steve,

Yes it should if you have the Header style applied at your insertion point
and you have look in all active template selected in the Insert AutoText
dialog box (Insert>AutoText>AutoText).

If you are still having the problem,:

Close Word
Locate your Normal.dot template and rename it Normal.old
Restart Word
If problem fixed you and you wish, you can use the organizer to copy any
customizations from Normal.old to the new Normal.dot Word created when you
restarted.
