OE stops working

my OE has an anoying tendancy to change some serttings from time to time.
The incomming server changes from "mail.zub.com" to "local host" and the
user name changes from "zubzub" to zubzub/mail.zub.com. I then cannot
send/recieve mail until I change the settings back.

Any ideas why and how to fix it?
