Office 2000 small business & XP home ed

D

dave

I am buying a new computer that has XP home ed. I own
office 2000 SB. Can I just copy everything to a cd on my
old computer (outlook contact and excel data etc..) And
install Office 2000 SB to the new computer and transfer
the data from the cd. Is there going to be issues?

Thanks

Hi Dave,

I am sure you won't have any problem saving files from old computer to
your CD and getting that to the new Computer. I am not sure whether you are

OFF2000: Small Business Pack Does Not Work with Office 2000

This article was previously published under Q199761
SUMMARY
The Microsoft Small Business Pack for Microsoft Office does not work with
any of the programs included with Microsoft Office 2000.

MORE INFORMATION
The Small Business Pack is an add-on product designed to work with the
Professional edition of Microsoft Office for Windows 95, version 7.0. It
includes dozens of ready-to-use business templates, forms, and reports that
you can use to help plan, manage, and analyze your business.

The Small Business Pack will not work with programs included with Office
2000. Office 2000 programs and support files are installed in different
default locations on your computer's hard disk, making it impossible for
the Small Business Pack templates, forms, and reports to find information
they need to run.

This link also gives the system requirements for Office 2000. So i don't
think there would be any problem installing Office 2000 in
XP.http://www.microsoft.com/Office/previous/2000/sysreq2000.asp
