Office 2000 SR-1a update

K

Katinka-Belle

I am using Office 2003. When searching for Office 2003 update MS also prompts
me to install the above office 2000 update. Given that I am using Office
2003 should I install the office 2000 update or ignore it?

If you have the right answer this question, I look forward to hearing from
you. Thanks.

Hi, Katinka-Belle,

The Windows Installer thinks you still have something from Office 2000
installed. Go to the Windows Control Panel, use Add / Remove Programs, and
look down the list for any Office or Office-family (Project, Publisher)
applications. Or, if you had Works which came with Word, that might cause
it.

You can uninstall the programs you no longer use, but if you use them, it's
a good idea to update them. You'll probably need your original installation
CD to run the update, however.

Hope that helps,
