Office 2002 office bar

I like using the Office bar, but come of the icons look like garbage. I
guess Microsoft decided black borders were a good thing. Anyway, is there a
way I can edit the icons to remove the little black border?

Are you using a theme in Windows? My icons are fine without any borders.
