Office 2003 Activation

I have a question about office 2003 activation. I have been having problems
with my PC so I had to reinstall windows XP. When I tried to reinstall my
office 2003 it gave a message to the effect that I had activated it too much.
I called Microsoft and explained what happened and they gave me a new code
to activate. Since then the PC has acted up again and the repair man said I
needed to do another reinstall. My question is - won't the CD ever work
again without having to call microsoft to get it activated? Is there a limit
to how many times you can use it? I want to be able to just use the CD and
have it install like it used too - can that be done?
