Office 2003 closes when trying to print

I have Office 2003 and when I open Word and try to print I get a message that
is office has to close. Once closed Word opens by itself and starts the atuo
recovery function. The problem happens in all of the Office applications. I
have tried to use the repair function with the CD with no results. I have
also tried to reinstall and got an error. I have checked for updates on MS
XP and for Office and I have the most current updates. Is there anything
that can repair this without a

Might try an updated printer driver. Go to the manufacturer's web site and look
around.

Your not printing to an OKI by any chance?
We had that and changed the driver to an HP Laserjet III to test and never had a problem, but the duplexer won't work with
such a basic driver.
