Office 2003 install / reinstall /crap

Simple problem, installed first time no problem, system
crashed, had to reload, now the product wont activate.
Sent email to MS, no reply,
If someone can't give me any help I guess I'll have to
switch to open office, atleast it works.

Did you use the telephone method to activate?

By the way, threats about switching software suites do not work here, they
just point out the childishness of the comment.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Dennis asked:

If your re-installation is legitimate, after entering your product key code (if you have one) you could use the phone option to activate your Office product
Or just switch to open office as you mentioned
