Office 2003 licence

I have just bought Office 2003 Pro (educational). I would
like to install it on both my computers at home. Reading
about activation I see that it can only be installed on
one. How can I obtain an additional license?

If you purchased this through your academic institution, you can purchase a
second license.

I noted the same thing in the manual, but AFTER activating both my home computers, in the kitchen and in the kids corner. I suppose it is typical for me to read the instructions AFTER installing products, or buying something. Please let me know if this means this is not legal, and if there is a problem to anticipate or if we should do something about this!
