Office 2003 needs Office 2000 SR-1 Disk 2?

I just installed Office 2003 without first removing my existing Office 2000.
The process left "MS Office 2000 SR-1 Disk 2" active. Is there a need for it
or should it be removed?

You can remove it but make sure you try "Add/Remove Programs" first
since part of the old 2000 might still be in the registry. If it is, get rid
of it that way. If not, you can safely delete the folders/files directly.
Note that some portions of the old 2000 might be registered for use by 2003
so don't be alarmed if the Add/Remove Programs function fails to remove some
parts. No, you didn't really need to remove 2000 before installing 2003 but
doing that would have kept your machine a bit "neater."
