I recently upgraded my hard drive, cloning my partition from the old
drive to the new drive. Well, I tried to open up Excel and I was
getting a consistent error about it needing to be setup and not being
able to find a file:
C:\program files\OfficeUpdate11\Cabs\511735.Mainsp1op.msp
I could not do anything. I couldn't even uninstall. I tried installing
the latest SP and they would crash every time I tried to install them.
So I went ahead and used the LISTool to remove the installation info.
Now I go to install. Now I get an error 1311, looking for a
P2561407.cab file in the MSOCache directory.
I've copied the cd contents to my hard drive, no luck. I'm ready to
pack it in. Any advice? I'm doing an custom install with Word, Excel,
Powerpoint and Publisher. I can't do an admin install since I don't have
the enterprise edition.
I'm running WinXP Pro, fully patched. It's looking for about 9gb for
install, I have about 290gb free.
