Office 2003 upgrade on second computer

R

RM

I installed office 2003 on my laptop, and on my desktop as allowed by the
EULA. I had a harddrive fail on my desktop, and had to reinstall all onto a
new harddrive. Data was not recoverable on the dead one.

When I try to reinstall office on the desktop,it wants to find the
qualifying product, which is when I found out that the Office 2k CD1 has a
big scratch that renders it unuseable. It is still installed, along with
2003, on the laptop. I made a network share to try and get it across the
network, but office 2003 will not recognize the network share in the dialog
box. I assume that I can't get a replacement CD because support for 2000 is
no longer available. Any suggestions as to how I can install it back on the
desktop?

Thanks!

Got any friends with older versions of Office who might let you borrow a CD?

I hadn't thought of that. I'm pretty sure I do. Thanks!

No problem - as long as you have a copy of the original Office 2000 license,
it shouldn't matter what CD you use (as long as it's for the exact same
product).
