Office 2003 will not read past files?

Have you tried opening each of the apps by using their
icon. Do this first because a small install is run to
create the hkey current user section of the registry.
then try double clicking the docs.

I have the same problem with old Word files and get the following error when opening Excel files
The file cannot be opened because your virus scanner has detected a problem with the file. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no success.

I have tried that option, and no different. I do also get the same error as the post above me with the Excel documents. Then on top of it I get warning when I shut down Word that states changes have been made to the template normal and trys to make me save the changes. Any one have any other ideas??????????????
