I have office 2003. One day I noticed that my computer was running slower
then usual so I went into my processes and noticed WINWORD.EXE was listed in
there even though word is not open on my computer at the time. So I did a
little investigating and come to realize it launches in processes when ever I
open an e-mail in Outlook (by creating new or opening one I just recieved).
As I open and sent several, I noticed the size of memory the WINWORD.EXE
grows (started at 15,000kbs and up to 30,000+kb when I finally killed the
process). Is this a known issue? and if so is it resolved by Service pack (I
do not have installed as of yet on my computer). I'm running XP Professional
SP2 at this time.
