Office 2007 & Vista

I have Office 2007 and Vista Home Premium. Everything was running smoothly
until about a week ago.

When I open a file in Excel it takes three minutes for the file to open.
That's exactly three minutes, I timed it. Opening Excel by itself, into a new
xls works normally. I created a new xls with the just letter A in the first
cell and it still took the three minutes to open it.

Word is also giving me grief. Opening Word by itself takes three minutes.
Word also isn't finding files. Once Word is open, I'll double click a doc on
my desktop and Word will come back with an error message, three minutes
later, that the doc cannot be found.

I used the cd to repair Office but it didn't help. I uninstalled Office
completely, rebooted, then reinstalled it, and that didn't help either.

Help!

Thanks :)

Paul,

Bet you don't do the useless uninstall-reinstall routine again.

Try opening Windows Explorer. Double click on the documents there. Same
story?

I have Office 2007 Professional and Vista Ultimate. I have perhaps the same
problem, perhaps just something similar. I can only run Word and Excel in
safe mode. Otherwise, it hangs, never completely loads up, and then I have
to go into the task manager and end the application. With Outlook, it never
fully launches.

It was working one day, and the next day, this. I looked at the updates
that had been loaded, but after uninstalling Office and reinstalling it from
scratch, I am still having the problem.
