Office 2008 SDK - Does this exist for developers?

Hi,
Is there an SDK for Office 2008. We are developing a Word COM add in for Office 2007(PC) and would like to make an equivalent Mac version. While Word 2008(Mac) saves .docx and xml, is this product truly extensible?
