Office 97 on XP

I've 'successfully' installed my copy of Office 97, on
newish computer running WIndows XP and can run Excel, but
not Access, getting the error message:
'Cannot run Access, not licensed on this machine.'
Have tried to e-mail Microsoft for support, but I get
message that the Office product ID I have is not
supported in UK. Can anyone help?
