Office application version does not match

We got a new computer at work with Vista and Office 2007. We didn't like
Office 2007, so it was uninstalled and 2003 was installed in place of it.
Ever since then, we get the error message above. Can anyone help with this
issue? Thank you very much

Hi, thanks for replying.
The error message occurs when using any of the Office 2003 programs, when
opening a document. The outlook program is not working correctly; not
allowing me to 'reply to all' or add a new contact. I get another error msg.
saying "The messaging interface has returned an unknown error."
When the computer came new, it had Vista and Office 2007 already installed.
Since I and the other person who had to use the new computer, didn't like
Office 2007, it was unistalled and 2003 was installed. We had actually used
2007 for about 2 months before it was uninstalled. It was only after 2007 was
unistalled and 2003 installed that these issues have occured. Thanks again!

With regard outlook I would suggest creating a new profile.

There are a number of MS kb articles regarding this err.msg, they all point
to the msg in 2007 and business contact manager.
Presumably the uninstall of Office 2007 removed the Office12 folder?
You might try this:
1.As an administrator, start each 2003 Office program in which the err is
received. To do this, follow these steps: a. In Windows Explorer, locate
the executable (.exe) file for the 2003 Office program.
b. Right-click the .exe file, and then click Run as administrator.
c. If you receive the User Account Control dialog box, click
Continue.
2.Click OK when you receive the error message.
