office apps in IE

Can I open an office app like Word in an IE browser window? I do not want
word to open in a separate window. My goal is an HTML file with two frames.
When a user clicks on the button for 'WORD' in 'Frame A' the application
would open in 'Frame B'. This needs to run locally only, on the machine
where word is installed. Is this possible?

Hey, thats exactly what I'm trying to do. Must be a good idea .

I can get it to work OK as long as Word is already running, but not editing
a file. I.E will show the document in the target frame.

The problem for me is that none of the Word tool buttons appear on the EI
toolbar like they do if there is no frames. I want to edit and save the file
in the frame and not just look at it.

Anybody know how to make Word in the IE frame save the document it is
looking at.
