I have Windows XP
SP2
MS Office 2003
MS Publisher 2002
When I open an Office program there will occasionally be an Office
Assistant. (Most times, there is not.) If there is an Office Assistant, the
next time that I open any Office program I will receive the error message:
“There are no Office Assistant character files present on the system.
Please run Setup in maintenance mode and install at least one character.â€
… and there will no longer be any office characters.
I’ve searched MS Office online, and my guess from what I’ve seen there is
that the problem stems from running MS Publisher 2002 on a computer that has
MS Office 2003. I have not, however, found anything that fixes the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
