Office Converter Pack

I have XP Home, and use both IE 6.0 and Firefox's latest version. I have XP
Office and have just installed the Office Converter Pack in order to convert
Word documents to Excel, if possible. The instructions say to download OCP
and then install and use Office as usual but I can't find any options that
allow me to convert any file of Word to Excel but I do see other file
options. Is it possible to use this converter to convert Word to Excel?

Word and Excel are two different programs.
You cannot convert one to the other.

Different programs but different file extensions. Since the Oconvpck.exe I
downloaded says it would convert files, how silly of me to assume otherwise.
As I said the instructions didn't make too much sense, so re-reading them is
going to be like trying to prove evolution is a theory. I have another trial
download called ABC Amber Word2Excel converter, it seems to indicate this
conversion is possible. Thanks for the succint response to a semi-literate.
