Office for Students

Dave Brown

I have Microsoft Office for Students installed on an old
computer which has now been replaced. Can I removed the
software from the old computer and install on the new
computer with the Product Activation procedure; ie, when I
uninstall the software, is Microsoft contacted in the same
way as when the software was installed to cancel the
existing activation.

Hi Dave,

Yes, you can move Office XP for Students and Teachers.
Use the telephone activation method on the new PC to
explain the scenario to a MS technician.

Bob,

Thanks for confirming this application could be moved. I
reinstalled on the new computer and called MS.
Reactivation was no problem at all. It made my night!
