Office Installer Starts Each Time

The Office 2000 Profession SR-1 installer begins each
time I open Word, Excel and Access. Doesn't do it with
PowerPoint or Publisher.

Any ideas why this occurs? Online updates to office 2000
won't install either.

What OS are you running, service packs, and hot fixes?

A simple solution that can resolve the problem and get
you back to work can be to unistall Office via
the "Add/Remove" feature in the control panel and then
reinstall office. Then immediately after restarting go to
officeupdate.microsoft.com and install the Service Packs
and the security fixes.
