Office Recovery

I'm trying to downloac a trial version of Office Recovery--pprdemo.exe--to
see if I can open a corrupt powerpoint file.

I can't open it after I download it. I'm on a mac--does this make a
difference?

I'm not familiar with the specific program you are looking at, but if it
is an exe file, it generally will not run on a Mac. EXE files are
executable files that have to be designed to run on one system. You might
check if the company has a Mac version, and you might ask on the Mac
PowerPoint Newsgroup if there is anything similar for the Mac.
