Office Shortcut Bar closing down

Suddenly, for some unknown reason, the Office shortcut bar has begun to
close down ever so often, and has to be restarted.

Any ideas what the reason can be and what I can do about it?

I am running Windows 2000 Pro SP4 and Office 2000 Professional.
