Office SP3 install problems

I'm running MSOffice 2000 with windows XP. The upgrade analyzer informs me
I should download SP-3. After the installation process, I get an
"unsuccessful" installation message. My OEM copy is Office 2000 Premium CD.
Any suggestions?

Steve,

If your CDs are SR1 or earlier, you'll have to install the SR1a update
before you can install SP3. I just found this out (again) when I was
recreating an administrative installation point. Now I've put a note on the
CD case so I won't have to troubleshoot the SP3 install failure (yet again...)

If your CDs are SR1 or earlier, you'll have to install the SR1a update
before you can install SP3. I just found this out (again) when I was
recreating an administrative installation point. Now I've put a note on the
CD case so I won't have to troubleshoot the SP3 install failure (yet again...)
