Office Update?

Is there a newer version of Office coming out soon? In a local ad in
today's paper they are advertising Office Student 2006.

Student 2006 is not Office Student 2006. There is a confusion. There is the
Office Standard Edition for Students & Teachers which is indeed an Office
suite, Microsoft Student 2006 is a research tool for students.
http://www.microsoft.com/student has more info.

Yeah I re-read the ad. The picture they have shows Microsoft Student
2006. The wording though says Microsoft Office Student 2006.

I think that is what made me think a new version was coming out soon.

Hello Bill,

I have researched this for you and found that the next Microsoft Office
will Comes in 2006. The new release will offer enhancements in areas such
as workflow capabilities, rights management, advanced scheduling, document
sharing, and business intelligence.

As the release date is not yet set in stone there is no exact date
available yet. However, as soon as it becomes available it will be
published to the Office.Microsoft.com web site.

I hope this informaiton is helpful.

Regards,

Ada Pan
