Office 'Window'

D

Dave

Really dumb question -

I have Office 2000 installed, and use Word, Outlook and Excel regularly. I
open each individually as needed.

My question is - is there an "Office" window that can be opened on screen?
Don't recall if there ever was - if so I can't find it now.

Appreciate any suggestions - well - polite ones anyway :)

Thx
Dave

Hi Dave,

In Office versions prior to Office 2003 there was the MS Office Shortcut Bar and the New Office Document Window.

The Office Shortcut Bar may not be installed. To check use Start=>Run and type in MSOffice.exe . If it starts you should have the
option to have it start automatically thereafter once it comes up. If it doesn't start then you can use the MS Office 2000 listed
item in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel to set the status of that feature to 'Run from my computer' to install it.

There isn't anything in Office quite like the MS Works Suite panels if that might be what you were familiar with.

OK - Office toolbar

Thanks much Bob -

I think you're right - we have MS Works in another comp - maybe that's what
I was looking for. Anyway, got into CP A/R routine and found the toolbar.

Thx again
Dave
